Sandy Frewer Named DOM and Villa Rental Operations for Wailea Beach Villas
WAILEA, Maui, HI, January 8, 2008. Maynard Torchiana, executive vice president and managing director for Destination Resorts Hawaii and Wailea Beach Villas, recently announced the promotion of Sandy Frewer to director of marketing and villa operations for Wailea Beach Villas. The 98-unit residential resort offers luxurious accommodations ranging from 1,900 to 3,100-square-foot villas situated on 12 acres of lush gardens and refreshing pools along the famed Wailea coastline.
In her new role, Frewer will oversee all marketing activities for the residential resort, as well as the on-site operations for the Destination Resorts Hawaii rental management program.
Frewer has more than 25 years of experience in luxury hotel and resort management. Her unique background combines operations, sales and marketing experience for upscale properties. She served as sales manager for the Inn on the Park, Four Seasons and as director of sales and marketing for the Sheraton Park Tower in London, England before transferring to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Honolulu in 1987. In Hawaii, she worked for Sheraton, The Ritz-Carlton, and as general manager for the Palms at Wailea before joining Destination Resorts Hawaii in 1995.
Frewer is an active member of HSMI, Maui Visitors Bureau, Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau and the Wailea Community Association. She and her husband, Scott Weeker live in Wailea Resort and are avid golfers and competitive tennis players. Scott is chief executive officer of a research and development company based in Maui and San Francisco.
