Worldhotels Names Epiphany as Preferred Supplier, Global Management

. October 14, 2008

JANUARY 15, 2008. WORLDHOTELS, the hotel group for independent hotels and regional hotel brands, today announced that it has selected Epiphany Hospitality International of Denver, Colo., as its preferred supplier of global hospitality management services for Comfort (three-star) and First-Class (four-star) collection members requesting these types of services. Graves World Hospitality will continue to offer comprehensive management services to Luxury Collection members. This new business relationship is effective immediately.

"In the past couple years, we've seen a growing number of hotel owners reconsider their brand affiliations and return to an independent status," said Tom Griffiths, vice president of WORLDHOTELS-the Americas. "The challenge these hoteliers face is no t only obtaining sales, marketing and reservations support, but also a cost-effective way to manage day-to-day operations, human resources, finance and planning at the property level. Our relationship with Epiphany enables us to offer our Comfort and First-Class members a full range of services at a fraction of traditional chain cost."

Griffiths went on to say that WORLDHOTELS' set-fee structure will cost an independent hotelier much less than typical brand-affiliation fees, which today hover around 14 percent.

"The breadth of our team's experience enables us to manage a wide range of property types," said Epiphany Hospitality International Principal and CEO Scott Bunce. "From urban hotel properties to destination resorts, we specialize in working with each client to first form a solid strategy, and then apply metrics to gauge cost versus performance, and provide hands-on leadership to maximize owner profits. By working with the WORLDHOTELS' team to offer a comprehensive set of mid-segment business solutions, we'll help fill a gap that currently exists in the industry."

Epiphany is a full-service hotel and condo management company that works with REITS, joint ventures, institutional real estate owners, non-institutional ownership groups and privately held companies. Through a network of industry veterans, the company offers operations, finance, human resources, sales and marketing expertise in North America, South America, Europe and the Caribbean.

"My team is by far Epiphany's greatest strength," said Bunce. "I have selected executives that have a proven track record of superior performance and experience - and who have a commitment to service, strength in leadership, operational excellence and driving owner returns."
