East West Destination Hospitality Names Tom Puntel Vice President of Sales & Marketing

SNOWMASS, CO. September 5, 2017 - East West Destination Hospitality is pleased to announce that Tom Puntel is now serving as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at the growing company, which manages more than $2.5 billion in vacation rental assets at mountain resorts in Colorado and California.  

A seasoned hospitality sales executive with more than 25 years of experience, Puntel spent the last 13 years with Hyatt Hotels, most recently serving as the Director of Sales, Marketing & Events at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. Puntel also held property level and regional level sales leadership roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and the Intercontinental Group in both Denver and Chicago.   A graduate of Purdue University, Puntel will be responsible for building a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for East West Destination Hospitality, which manages properties in Beaver Creek, Vail and Snowmass in Colorado and in Lake Tahoe, California, including Vail Spa, which completed more than $10 million in upgrades last winter, and the newest luxury property in the Vail Village, the Lion.

Revenue Management: Technology and Big Data
Like most businesses, hotels are relying on technology and data to drive almost every area of their operations, but perhaps this is especially true for hotel Revenue Managers. There has been an explosion of technology tools which generate a mountain of data – all in an effort to generate profitable pricing strategies.
