Amber Kasses Joins Sofitel New York as Director of Sales and Marketing

NEW YORK. NY. July 19, 2017 - Sofitel New York has hired Amber Kasses as its new director of sales and marketing. She joins the luxury Midtown hotel after a nine-year managerial career with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

“Amber's past luxury experience and strong management skills make her an ideal match to lead Sofitel New York's sales and marketing effort. We're excited to welcome her to our team,” said Rudy Tauscher, general manager.

Kasses was most recently director of sales and marketing for Fairmont Newport Beach, where she was responsible for building, training and managing a team of 17 revenue-generating managers and colleagues. She was promoted to that position in 2015 after two years as director of revenue management.

Previously, Kasses served in various sales and revenue roles during her time at The Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston, where she began her career in 2008.

Kasses holds an MBA and a bachelor's degree in communications from Washington State University. She also earned her certification in revenue management from eCornell University.
