During and since the expansion, historic rooms have received new furnishings, updated technology and refreshed bathrooms. Notable embellishments have recently been added to 22 historic rooms as homage to the resort's rich past as a college preparatory school for girls and, later, a getaway for Hollywood's Golden Age and sports royalty. Rooms built as part of the original ranch-house structure surrounding the inner courtyard once served as dorms for daughters of some of the country's wealthiest families and have been named in those families' honor.

In addition to the renovations, leisure and business travelers can book new on and off-site adventures that conveniently begin and end at the resort's doorstep including horseback rides and lessons, guided hikes, nature walks and astronomy tours.
