Hotel Crescent Court Dallas Announces New Executive Sous Chef

DALLAS, TX. February 22, 2017 - Hotel Crescent Court, situated in the heart of Dallas' vibrant Uptown, proudly announces the appointment of Samantha Koon as Executive Sous Chef of the members-only Crescent Club, located on the 17th floor, overlooking the dazzling Dallas skyline.

In this role, Chef Koon will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen such as ensuring all menu components are prepared to the Club's standard of quality, coordinating the purchase of all food items, as well as working closely with Executive Chef Charlie Rushton to proficiently and productively lead a team of kitchen personnel.

A Texas-native, Chef Koon always had a strong appetite for traveling. This craving took her from Surry, England to fulfill her culinary internship, through the Eastern Cape of South Africa and finally further up the African coast to the Fairmont Zimbali Resort where she served as Senior Chef de Partie in the Garde Manger kitchen. After five and a half years of living and working overseas, Chef Koon ventured back to her home town of Fort Worth, where she most recently spent the past five years at the Fort Worth Club, becoming the first female chef de cuisine to run member dining. “We're thrilled to have Samantha join our culinary team,” said Saun Lightbourne, Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotel Crescent Court. “Her wealth of experience and international insights on the world of food will bring a fresh perspective to The Crescent Club, thoroughly benefiting both our hotel guests and Club members.”
