Mohegan Sun Names Director of Security

JANUARY 28, 2008. Mohegan Sun has promoted Donna Haney to Director of Security. In her new role, Haney will be responsible for over 400 employees, overseeing all aspects of the department, and evaluating the communication between the security department and other departments throughout the casino.

As a day one employee, Haney started at Mohegan Sun in 1996 as a Security Supervisor where she was responsible for training security officers, yearly evaluations, issuing discipline, guiding fellow officers, ensuring the safety of patrons, employees and safeguarding casino assets. As the years progressed, she worked her way up to Security Manager in 2001.

In 2002, Haney was appointed the position of MTGC Sr. Investigator where she was responsible for performing background checks for commission licenses, tracking down reports, video coverage, interviewing witnesses and scheduling hearings.

As a member of the Mohegan Tribe, Haney has been a volunteer demonstrator at Wigwam since 2005 and currently holds the position as Trustee in the Mohegan Congregational Church Council.
