Hotel Rodavento in Valle de Bravo, Mexico Joins Mosaic Hotel Group and Will Undergo Renovation

. October 05, 2016

SAN RAFAEL, CA. October 5, 2016 - Mosaic Hotel Group (MHG), a collection of boutique, curated hotels, has assumed management of its first Mexican resort, Hotel Rodavento. As with all MHG hotels, Hotel Rodavento is a destination in its own right combining relaxation, adventure, serenity and outdoor activities. Situated two hours outside of bustling Mexico City in the charming town of Valle de Bravo, Hotel Rodavento is an urban escape set among five acres of lush forest.

Developed and owned by accomplished architect and outdoor enthusiast Waldemar Franco, Hotel Rodavento is a secret haven among Mexican elite, international celebrities and Fortune 500 executives. The resort's ambience and architecture meld seamlessly with its natural surroundings, including a destination restaurant, bar and pool dotting a private lake, and small paths leading to 28 modern hillside bungalows dispersed among the forest.

"Rodavento and Valle de Bravo are both magical places, and MHG is excited to enhance the experience for visitors," said Tim Harmon, CEO of Palisades Hospitality Group, parent company of Mosaic Hotel Group. "When I first came to Rodavento as a guest at the hotel, I immediately fell in love with it. The property combines the very best of Mexico - culture, cuisine, genuine hospitality and activities."

With the help of architect Federico Gomez Crespo, Franco and MHG are in the process of enhancing Hotel Rodavento to heighten the presence of the local culture and enrich the travelers' stay with approachable and comfortable luxury. The upgrades include refreshing and updating the current rooms, adding eight new suites and a gym, and building a new destination spa which will feature a hamam, as well as outdoor soaking pools.

Additional changes planned include re-envisioning the hotel's signature restaurant. MHG's sister company, Moana Restaurant Group, is creating the new scheme that will infuse the menu with the culture and bounty of Valle de Bravo. Renovations are expected to be completed by December 2016.

It's hard to imagine the Hotel Rodavento experience being improved upon, but we know our partnership with Tim and Mosaic Hotel Group will take it to the next level," said Waldemar Franco. "We've built a strong foundation and are excited to see the many enhancements in store for our beautiful property and its guests."

A colonial village surrounded by mountains along the shore of Lake Avandaro, Valle de Bravo (or simply "Valle" to locals) is designated as one of the country's Pueblos Magicos - a distinction by the Mexican tourism department that recognizes a destination for its natural beauty, cultural riches and/or historical relevance.
