New F&B director and reservations manager bring international perspective to this Caribbean beachfront resort
FRIGATE BAY, ST. KITTS - January 6, 2016 - - St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Director of Food & Beverage Thierry De Lage and Reservations Manager Sabrina Hoffer.
Thierry De Lage, Director of Food & Beverage: De Lage comes to St. Kitts Marriott Resort from Waldorf Astoria El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico where he held the position of Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director for the last seven years. Before that he was the Director of Food & Beverage at the Candelero Resort at Palmas del Mar, a high-end villa & hotel community in Puerto Rico. De Lage began his career in the hospitality industry as a culinary apprentice in France, including the French Navy and a number of Paris restaurants before venturing outside of Europe. He continued his hotel career path as part of the opening team for the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Juan, a James Beard Award Recipient, as a Chef de Cuisine, completed culinary studies at the Culinary Institute of America and hotelier education at Columbus State College.
De Lage says, “The degree of inspiration, energy, guidance, ownership, care and concern I have for my team will directly influence, or mirror, how my team members take care of our hotel guests and their ability to create a lasting impression.”
Sabrina Hoffer, Reservations Manager: Joining the St. Kitts Marriott Resort team by way of Marriott Residence Inn in Montreal as Reservations and Revenue Manager, Hoffer began her career in the hospitality industry in 2010. She held positions at hotels in Canada including the Park Inn Hotel & Suites, University Bed & Breakfast, Hotel Nelligan, and Hotel Le Saint - James and Auberge Bonaparte after completing her degree of Collegial Studies in Hotel Management at LaSalle College in Montreal.
