Holiday Inn Houston NRG/Medical Center Area in Texas Completes $9 Million Renovation

Dallas-based Aimbridge Hospitality manages the 238-key property

DALLAS, TX. November 25, 2015 - Aimbridge Hospitality announces the completion of a comprehensive $9 million renovation of Holiday Inn Houston NRG/Medical Center Area located in Houston, TX.

The cutting-edge renovation transformed all areas of the hotel, which will appeal to a broad customer base. The renovation encompassed all 238 guest rooms, which were enhanced and refurnished, including completely renewed bathrooms with new tiling and fixtures. In addition, a full lobby renovation was completed including the addition of a new bar and restaurant concept, new exterior lighting and landscaping was installed, a new self-serve mini mart stocked with food and laundry items, and the new outdoor swimming pool area is complete with poolside dining and an improved bar area.

The main lobby was updated with new finishes, lighting, furnishings and public restrooms. The lobby boasts Sidelines Bar, which is adjacent to the atrium for guest enjoyment. Sidelines Bar mixes Gulf Coast classics with specialty cocktails and local Texas beers and features a 70-inch flat-panel TV and outdoor seating to provide the ultimate sports bar experience.

The updated hotel restaurant, Trellis, is a new all-American bistro which boasts casual dining with featured favorites prepared by Executive Chef Tom Johnston. Serving a menu of national and regional cuisines, the restaurant caters to local residents and hotel guests alike, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prompt and friendly staff at the NRG Park hotel will help guests wake up for the day with a hot cup of coffee and fresh breakfast favorites in a warm, family atmosphere.
