. October 14, 2008

AUSTIN, TX, April 10, 2007. Exhibit space for the 2007 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC^A(R)), produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP(R)), has sold out with approximately 700 booths representing 300 companies. A waiting list is available on a first-come, first-served basis for booth space. There are still other opportunities to become involved with HITEC 2007, including space in the Club Technology Pavilion, submitting a technology for GUESTROOM 2010 and HITEC supporter packages.

"HITEC is the premier hospitality technology conference where industry professionals go to learn how to use existing technology more efficiently and to see what new technologies are on the horizon," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP executive vice president and CEO. "Suppliers want to be involved with HITEC because it is a great place to network with their current customers and build relationships with new customers. It is also where they learn about technologies and gain ideas to make their products better."

The number of HITEC exhibits has increased significantly from 252 booths in 1993 to approximately 700 booths in 2007. In just the past two years, the exhibit floor has increased almost 12 percent to accommodate interested exhibitors and provide attendees access to more companies. HITEC attendance has also greatly increased from its small beginning with approximately 38 attendees for its 1972 debut, 1,800 in 1998, 4,500 in 2003 and now a planned attendance of over 5,000 for this year's show.

There are a few spots currently available in the Club Technology Pavilion, the newest addition to the HITEC exhibit hall. It is a special area in the exhibit hall with hands-on displays of the latest in emerging club technology. There will be approximately 15 different club-related exhibitors at the pavilion, including Jonas Software, ClubSoft, TAI Club Management Systems, Gatekeeper Business Solutions, Northstar Technologies, FOOD-TRAK and more. The pavilion will feature club-specific software and products.

It's not too late to submit a technology for GUESTROOM 2010, which will feature some of the latest and near-future technologies for the modern hotel room. In order to design the 2007 model, HFTP is seeking new and upcoming technologies for the model guestroom. HFTP is looking for non-traditional types of technology such as lighting, fabrics and furniture, as well as traditional technology such as next-generation televisions, phones and robots. Hospitality technology suppliers, consumer technology companies, inventors and others who have a technology product that should be considered for display must apply by April 13. You do not have to be a member of HFTP or a current HITEC 2007 exhibitor to participate. Visit www.GUESTROOM2010.org for an application and for more information.

The HITEC supporter packages allow suppliers and HITEC supporters a way to be a part of the show when they are unable to exhibit. For more information about supporter packages, contact HFTP's marketing account manager, Laura Huffman, at (800) 646-4387 or 001 (512) 249-5333 ext. 25 or by e-mail at [email protected].
