Americas Best Value Inn Hits 700 Hotels

. October 14, 2008

APRIL 11, 2007. Sandusky, OH is home to Cedar Point Amusement Park and some of the fastest roller coasters in the world. But the fastest thing to hit the North Coast is the addition of the 700th Americas Best Value Inn, continuing the brand's position as the fastest growing hotel chain in the US.

Peter Frantz, marketing director for Americas Best Value Inn, and Dan Sweigert, development director for the Northeast, recently recognized George Ruta's 100-room, two-diamond AAA hotel as the 700th Americas Best Value Inn. Formerly a Ramada, the hotel joined the brand in the first quarter of this year.

"No matter what you're measuring, 0 to 700 is fast by any standard," said Roger Bloss, CEO, President and Founder of Americas Best Value Inn. "But to reach the 700 mark so quickly shows there is real value for the brand, from the standpoint of the hotel owners as well as consumers nationwide."

George, his father Carmelo, his mother Nunzia, and his sister Anna, are all very familiar with the lodging industry. Together, they own 12 hotels within the Sandusky region through their company, Ruta Hotels. This is their first Americas Best Value Inn.

"Value is right in the name," said George, when asked why he switched to Americas Best Value Inn. "I get all the bells and whistles and representation that the franchise chains offer but at a very reasonable cost. I have been searching for a brand that was already well established in the consumer's mind and had the 'legs' to keep our established hotel moving forward. With its recognizable logo and name, and the ability to have a voice and a vote in the brand's direction, Americas Best Value Inn was the best fit for our company."
