. August 26, 2015

LOS ANGELES, CA. August 26, 2015 - The Mani Brothers Real Estate Group (MBRG) is pleased to announce that Gregory Day will join their team on September 9, 2015, as president of luxury hospitality.

Day, the former general manager of Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, Calif., will also serve as the general manager of the firm's Malibu Beach Inn, which is the jewel of the company's expanding real-estate portfolio that includes luxury office buildings located across Los Angeles.

The Malibu Beach Inn is the group's first venture into luxury hospitality, acquired in March 2015 from entertainment executive David Geffen. With a long-term strategic plan in place to gain a solid presence in the luxury hospitality sector, MBRG welcomes Day, who brings a wealth of experience to his position with the firm. This strategic partnership between MBRG and Gregory Day has the express goal of elevating and expanding MBRG's position in the hotel and resort marketplace.

Day was the GM of Shutters on the Beach for eight years. Earlier in his career, he served for 14 years with the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, in multiple capacities at properties ranging from San Francisco to Toronto to New Orleans; previous to that he headed aspects of the food and beverage divisions for the Pebble Beach Resorts in Northern California, at both The Lodge at Pebble Beach and the Inn at Spanish Bay.

"This is an exciting opportunity," Day said. "I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career as the president of hospitality for Mani Brothers Real Estate Group. And there's no more beautiful beachfront hotel in California than the Malibu Beach Inn, which will be a breathtaking home base for me."

The Pacific Coast Highway luxury hotel, located near the Malibu Pier on a strip of land nicknamed "Billionaire's Beach," boasts 47 guest rooms, all with in-room wine selections, slate-bordered fireplaces and oversized balconies, and also features the Carbon Beach Club, the inn's gourmet restaurant.

"We're thrilled to welcome someone with such a broad range of experience to our team," Simon Mani, co-founder of the Mani Brothers Real Estate Group, added. "Gregory Day's knowledge of what's needed to create a world-class hotel organization is an invaluable asset to our company's future plan of aggressively expanding into the luxury hospitality sector."
