IHG Enters Lexington Market, Announces Opening Of Staybridge Suites Hotel

December 29, 2014 - InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)] announced today that a new 107-room Staybridge Suites® hotel in Lexington has plans to open late February 2015. The Staybridge Suites® Lexington is the first in the area for the brand. The hotel plans to hire 25 team members, ranging from hourly to management positions.

The new all-suite hotel will feature three well-designed spacious suite types (studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom/two-bath). All suites feature a comfortable living space including a fully equipped kitchen complete with a refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher; flat screen TVs with a DVD player; a functional, well-lit workspace with a large desk; speaker phones with personal voice mail and complimentary local phone calls.

Consistent with the Staybridge Suites brand, the new property offers exceptional home-like surroundings including a daily complimentary hot breakfast featuring Wolfgang Puck coffee; complimentary Laundry Room and Fitness Room; a complimentary 24-hour Business Center; a guest library with books and games for guest use free of charge; as well as The Pantry, the hotel's 24-hour convenience store stocked with snacks, sundries, beverages and easy-to-prepare meals. Additionally, guests at the Staybridge Suites Lexington can get Internet connectivity throughout the hotel with free Wireless Anywhere.

Guests will enjoy in the hotel's Great Room during The Social evening receptions, held each Tuesday through Thursday, offering beer and wine at a minimal cost, customizable entrees and great conversation. Also located in the Great Room is the Gathering Table, a bar-height, granite-topped island surrounded by comfortable seating that encourages guests to interact as they would around their own kitchen table during breakfast and The Social evening reception.

In its well-landscaped Backyard, the Staybridge Suites Lexington will offer the brand's new Outdoor Living Room concept, a place where guests can relax and interact surrounded by amenities such as comfortable outdoor all-weather furniture, gas grills and a gas fire pit. Guests can also take advantage of the Patio where they will find a shaded comfortable outdoor seating area ideal for gatherings with friends and fellow guests.
