DUCK, NC - November 6, 2014 - Sanderling Resort, the Outer Banks' only full-service resort and spa, announces a new phase of property improvements to the quintessential Coastal Carolina destination. Sanderling Resort re-emerged in 2013 following the initial multimillion-dollar redesign that brought new pools, rooms and guest amenities to the Outer Banks landmark. The new renovations continue the transformation with the addition of 24 new guest rooms in time for the 2015 summer season.

Northview Hotel Group acquired Sanderling Resort in 2012, and has bolstered the long-standing management team by installing new systems and tools to transform the property from a seaside inn to a world class destination resort. Since its reopening following a multimillion dollar renovation in 2013, Sanderling Resort has received a number of accolades for its luxury amenities and unpretentious atmosphere, including the AAA Four-Diamond and a Forbes Four-Star rating.

During the 2015 winter season, Northview Hotel Group's Design & Construction Group will oversee work on the North Inn and Beach House buildings of the property. In the North Inn, a third floor of guestrooms will be created, offering 18 new rooms closest to the family pool and views of either the Atlantic Ocean or Currituck Sound. In the Beach House, six new rooms will be added with pristine views of both the ocean and sound. This construction project, which will create some of the premier guestrooms at the Resort, will be completed in May 2015.
