Northwood Hospitality Names Hans Schmitt GM of FL's 474-key Naples Grande Beach Resort

Naples, FL - October 6, 2014 - Hans Schmitt has been appointed General Manager at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in addition to his role as Director of Asset Management for Northwood Hospitality. In this position he will oversee operations of the hotel, which includes 474 guestrooms, suites and Garden Villas and over 83,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space. This iconic Naples, FL resort is currently underway on $18M renovations as part of its transition to a newly independent property.

A veteran of the hospitality industry, Schmitt has worked for Northwood Hospitality for four years. Most recently, he served as the General Manager and Managing Partner for Alden Hotel, a Northwood Hospitality property in Houston, Texas. Mr. Schmitt held multiple leadership positions as General Manager for Hotel Derek, in Houston, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Noble Investment group, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for HEI Hotels and Resorts.
