Guam Takes Top Award at PTAA Travel Tour Expo 2007
TUMON, Guams, Marcj 26, 2007. The Guam Visitors Bureau recently participated as an exhibitor in the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA)'s 14th annual Travel Tour Expo, which was held at the Megatrade Hall in the SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, P.I.
GVB is a regular participant in the Philippines' largest and most renowned travel expo along with other Asian countries like China, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Malaysia, the CNMI, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand along with non-Asian countries such as Egypt, Israel and South Africa.
Despite stiff competition from much larger countries with even greater financial resources, Guam's booth was awarded first prize for Best in Decorated Booth (International Division).
"We're very proud of our representatives in the Philippines for putting together a booth exhibit that not only showcased all the wonderful aspects of Guam that make it a destination of choice, but that the booth also won first place for best decoration," said Marketing Manager Pilar Lagua~na, "Their accomplishment is another example of the how strategic use of our limited marketing budget can achieve fantastic results, accolades, and notice from the very people we are hoping to encourage to visit Guam."
