Two Awards for Dubai at MITT - 2007

MARCH 26, 2007. The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has bagged two awards for the Dubai Stand it had put up at the Moscow International Tourism and Travel (MITT-2007) Fair held from March 21 to 24. r. Khalifa Ali Buamaim, DTCM Manager Overseas Promotions, said the MITT organizers presented the awards after the Dubai Stand was chosen in two categories - Best Stand Design and Best Use of Stand Space. ITT-2007, the largest tourist exhibition in Russia, featured 276 square metre Stand by Duba .

As many as 38 square metre of the stand was double-decked. The stand featuring 40 booths was shared by 58 co-participants from the emirate's booming tourism industry.

Held at the Expo Centre Krasnaya Presnya, the 14th edition of the annual fair provided the DTCM and its co-participants an excellent opportunity to presents their latest leisure and tourism products and offerings to the decision-makers from the Russian and CIS markets.

The DTCM Manager Overseas Promotions, Mr. Khalifa Ali Buamaim, and Mr. Saleh Al Geziry, DTCM Deputy Manager Overseas Promotions, represented the DTCM Head Office along with the representatives from the DTCM Russian office at the MITT-2007.

Organised by ITE, a leader of Russian exhibition business, MITT is one of the five largest tourist exhibitions worldwide, with 2007 featuring more than 2700 companies from more than 111 countries and regions.

Russia and the CIS are important source markets for the Dubai tourism industry with year-on-year increase in hotel guests.
