Les Clefs D'or Membership Awarded to Charlotte Stengel & Steve Struck of The Fairmont San Francisco

. July 07, 2014

SAN FRANCISCO - July 7, 2014 - Les Clefs d'Or USA has presented two members of The Fairmont San Francisco's concierge team, Charlotte Stengel and Steve Struck, with membership into the renowned organization. Les Clefs d'Or (pronounced "lay clay door") is French and literally translates as "keys of gold." Crossed gold keys displayed on hotel concierge lapels assure travelers they are dealing with a seasoned professional, who is dedicated to serving their every need and has fulfilled intense membership and service requirements.

Stengel and Struck join The Fairmont San Francisco's Chief Concierge Tom Wolfe, founder of the Les Clefs d'Or concierge association in the U.S. along with Jim Anderson, Chief Concierge at the nearby Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn &, who was inducted this past January. Charlotte and Steve were selected for membership based upon their experience, training, outstanding service delivery, and community outreach involvement, joining an elite group of U.S. concierge professionals (nearly 660 members in 32 states).

Steve joined The Fairmont San Francisco's concierge team in 1995, direct from New York City, where he worked at another historic landmark, The Plaza Hotel.

"I am honored to be a part of this celebrated organization, which exemplifies striving for continued service excellence," says Struck. "Whether it's a first-time guest or frequent visitor, I am thrilled to have a position that enables me to provide an experience that can truly exceed expectations."

Charlotte, a native of Prague, began her hospitality career in 1993 and joined The Fairmont San Francisco's concierge team in 2006.

"The best part of my job is meeting so many wonderful guests, who inspire me to continually educate myself on the Bay Area's unique offerings." says Charlotte. Being a part of Les Clefs d'Or will further support our efforts in being a valuable resource to our visitors."

Tom Klein, Regional Vice President & General Manager of The Fairmont San Francisco adds, "The Fairmont San Francisco is proud to have served as a pioneer in U.S. concierge service and we honor this critical division. Les Clefs d'Or USA aims to elevate the guest experience through innovative creativity and bespoke concierge service that corresponds to guest needs. We are delighted that Charlotte and Steve will continue this important tradition."

Les Clefs d'Or professionals have a never-ending network of acquaintances, friends and colleagues from around the world to assist them in meeting and exceeding guest demands. Known for rolodexes worth millions, Les Clefs d'Or concierges are in the enviable position of being able to recommend destinations, businesses, companies, and/or products to thousands of business and leisure travelers throughout the world. Members of Les Clefs d'Or USA represent over 275,000 hotel rooms nightly at more than 250 primarily four-and five-star properties and constitute the only national association of professional hotel concierges in the United States.
