137-room Park Inn by Radisson Izmir Under Development in Turkey to Open Q4 2015
Brussels - March 18, 2014 - The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the largest and most dynamic hotel companies worldwide, today announced the Park Inn by Radisson Izmir, Turkey. Featuring 137 guest rooms, the hotel is scheduled to open fourth quarter, 2015. This brings Carlson Rezidor's portfolio in Turkey to 12 hotels and 2,000 rooms in operation and under development.

The Park Inn by Radisson Izmir will enjoy a prime location: next to 'Kordon" the most prestigious waterfront area in Izmir, with views of the sea and facing the future marina of the city. The hotel will comprise 137 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant and lobby bar, three meeting rooms, a gym and spa.
Izmir, located on the Aegean Sea, is Turkey's third largest city and second most important economic hub. Its activity is mainly focused on trade and export and holds a significant industrial base, realizing up to nine percent of Turkey's industrial production. Izmir Alsancak Port is Turkey's second largest seaport, geographically well positioned to capture the European and Middle Eastern market, and serving as a main transportation hub in eastern Anatolia. The construction of the North Aegean Candarli Port is expected to be completed by the end of 2016. This second port will serve as a hub for all major international sea lines and will be Turkey's largest port with an annual capacity of 20 million tons.
