Famed New York City Chef Dan Silverman Returns Uptown
Silverman Named Executive Chef of the iconic and soon to be revitalized Loews Regency Hotel and its new Sant Ambroeus signature restaurant
New York, NY - August 7, 2013 - Loews Hotels & Resorts and Sant Ambroeus Hospitality Group have announced that Chef Dan Silverman , from the The Standard Grill, will be returning uptown as Executive Chef of the newly renovated Loews Regency Hotel, and it's soon to be named signature restaurant, by renowned New York restaurateurs from the ever popular Sant Ambroeus, Casa Lever and Felice restaurants.
With its $100 million plus renovation underway, chef Silverman will oversee all aspects of culinary development at the Park Avenue hotel, including creating menus and concepts under the Sant Ambroeus umbrella, which will translate into the restaurant, bar and in-room dining.

Silverman was most recently Executive Chef at The Standard, High Line in New York City and their signature restaurant The Standard Grill. Prior to The Standard, High Line he was Executive Chef at famed Lever House Restaurant, under his leadership the restaurant was nominated as “Best New Restaurant” in 2004 by the James Beard Foundation and also was awarded a “Michelin Star” in 2006 & 2007. During the span of his career he has held top culinary titles at some of New York City's most recognized restaurants including Union Square Cafe, Alison on Dominick Street, and Bouley Restaurant.

A graduate of Vassar College and the French Culinary Institute, Silverman has received numerous awards and accolades including “10 Best New Chefs” by Food and Wine Magazine and Gourmet's “20 Top Tables.” He resides in Brooklyn with his family.
