Jocelyn Myers Adams Named Executive Chef of The Table Bay Hotel

Seasoned chef earns executive position at “the best address in Cape Town”

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA - July 23, 2013 - Sun International has appointed Jocelyn Myers-Adams as executive chef of The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, replacing chef Dallas Orr.

Since joining the group in 2009, Myers-Adam has been promoted from executive chef tournant to acting executive chef and now executive chef at Sun International's Table Bay Hotel. Myers-Adams' main responsibilities now include kitchen management and menu creation.

Even with her global experience, Myers-Adams still considers herself a perpetual student of food and wine and looks forward to new opportunities in this leadership role at The Table Bay Hotel. “I will work to elevate the hotel's high standard of flavors and ingredients and push the boundaries of our F&B program so that it remains a leader in innovation in our industry," she said.

A Canadian native, Myers-Adams has spent the last thirteen years traveling around the world expanding her culinary knowledge. Prior to her position at The Table Bay Hotel, she spent a year in Australia working as a food consultant for a host of restaurants, and has sailed the seven seas as head chef aboard numerous island vessels in the Bahamas, Cote d'Azur, Corsica, Sardinia and Monaco. Myers-Adams has also been privileged to work alongside some of the world's most well-respected chefs over the years, including: Gordon Ramsay, Oliver Bonacini, Jamie Kennedy, Elaine Rousseau and Angela Woodward.
