KANSAS CITY, MO - July 11, 2011 - Warmbrodt Hotel Investments, Inc. (“WHI”) a Kansas City based hotel real estate firm, announced today it advise The Elms Resort, LLC in the sale of the historic Elms Hotel and Spa located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The purchaser was Widewaters Group, Inc., a Syracuse, New York based development and management company, that presently owns 18 hotel properties in the US and Canada. Currently, The Elms Resort & Spa is comprised of 153 guest rooms; 10,000 square feet of spa space; 11,000 square feet of meeting space; a restaurant; two lounges; and approximately 16 acres of property. Initial renovations call for a transformation of the property's rooms, spa and restaurant into a premier regional destination and restoring the historic hotel to its prior social status.
