October 7, 2010 - Access Hotel & Resorts has announced it will manage The Distrikt Hotel in New York City, New York. Located in midtown Manhattan, the 155-room hotel is centrally located near The New York Times Building and Times Square.

Opened since February 2010, The Distrikt Hotel boasts cutting-edge technology with comfortable cosmopolitan style, four-star amenities and exceptional cuisine. The hotel is a brilliant art piece with exquisite architecture and decor that includes a twelve-foot living lobby wall replica of Central Park, an artist's rendering of Manhattan's street grid, and unique collages of the various New York districts.

Access Hotels & Resorts' Chief Executive Officer Tom Baker believes the company's growing portfolio of successful independent hotels and resorts and experienced team will help elevate The Distrikt to become one of Manhattan's most premiere properties. “As our company has grown, we have searched for the right fit in New York City. The Distrikt is the ultimate compliment to our growing portfolio,” Baker said.

Located in midtown Manhattan steps from Times Square, Bryant Park, Broadway, the Theater District, and Madison Square Garden, The Distrikt is a chic enclave settled inside a 32-story sleek skyscraper designed by architects Otte Assemblage.

Built in February 2010, the hotel features 155 luxurious guestrooms, four-star services and amenities including ultra-technologies suitable for serving the most tech-savvy traveler. The 32-story building's decor is split in three-to-four story design motifs themed after various parts of New York City - The Financial District, Lower East Side, Tribeca, SoHo, Village, Chelsea, Midtown East, Midtown West, Central Park and Harlem.
