Hotel AG Sells Hilton Garden Inn Lafayette
LaFayette, LA - August 23, 2010 - Hotel Assets Group, LLC (Hotel AG), announced today that the firm negotiated the sale of the 153-room Hilton Garden Inn located in LaFayette, Louisiana on behalf of Jackie's International. The portfolio sold to Apple REIT Nine for an undisclosed amount.
Brad Sinclair, Vice President of Hotel AG stated, “This was a unique transaction in that the property is on leased land owned by the University of Louisiana at LaFayette, giving the buyer and the university a great opportunity to work together to grow hospitality interest and programs among university students.”
The Hilton Garden Inn LaFayette is a six-story, interior corridor hotel built in 2006 situated adjacent to the Cajundome and Conference Center and less than ½ mile from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The Buyer plans to perform minor renovations to the hotel and continue operating it as a Hilton Garden Inn.
