June 17, 2010 - Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao, Shanghai recently opened its doors to travellers to the newly developed business district of Fengxian in South Shanghai.

With 204 rooms and suites and comprehensive facilities and services, it is the first and only international deluxe hotel in the key town of Nanqiao, where several multinational companies have established high-tech manufacturing plants in recent years. It stands nestled in Nanqiao town, flanked by expansive modern structures, idyllic villas, restaurants serving home-grown cuisine and small businesses that provide a touch of local flavour to the dynamism surrounding the area

Managed by UK-based Eaton Hotels International, Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao, Shanghai is the first in the company's planned portfolio in China and stands as forerunner of some 10 properties to be set up in Asia in the next five years.

Guestrooms and Suites
Eaton Luxe Nanqiao, Shanghai provides both business and leisure travellers the ideal balance of unpretentious elegance and true comfort in all of its 204 rooms and suites. Spanning a floor area ranging from 33 to 101 square metres, each room provide ample space for easy living and a sanctuary to relax in after a busy day of work or hectic recreational activities. Standing 20 storeys, the hotel gives guests a chance to luxuriate in the refreshing sight of outdoor city views from every room and suite.

Room categories include 180 well-appointed Luxe Rooms; 15 corner suites named Felicity 2-Bay Suite; three Amity Family Suites, four Unity Meeting Suites and a Double Happiness Honeymoon Suite. The sumptuous 101sqm Presidential Suite on the top floor is the quintessential “home away from home” with a separate seating room, two bedrooms, a dining area, top-of-the-line amenities and amazing city view.

All are installed with modern conveniences such as flat screen TV sets, DVD players, iHome stereo system and broadband Internet. Suites are equipped with laptop docking station, sizeable work desks and easy chairs, power shower, sumptuous beddings made of “green” high thread-count fabric and several other superior amenities.

E-Club
The E-Club on level 3 of the hotel is a smart facility that answers guests' demands for additional fundamental services, at a nominal extra fee. It features a sophisticated lounge where complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails are served daily. It has a library stocked with newspapers, magazines and other reading materials, computer and high-speed Internet access. Next to the lounge is the E-Club business centre which provides professional secretarial services and rental of various business equipment.

Dining and Entertainment
Whatever pleases the discerning palate is on the menu at Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao.

For diners with sophisticated palates, Yat Tung Heen serves Cantonese dishes that have earned its counterpart at the Eaton Hong Kong the much-coveted one star Michelin rating. The menu also features a selection of authentic regional Chinese cuisine. Its main dining hall features contemporary Chinese motif with touches of interesting design innovations. Ten individual dining rooms cater to private groups of 20 to 50 persons.

Metro Buffet & Grills takes diners on a culinary journey of the world from sun-up to late evenings with generous international buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a la carte choices. The “World Kitchen” is an open kitchen concept that provides additional delight with continuing live food preparations while the Japanese counter presents a myriad of scrumptious Japanese delicacies.

Next to the Metro Buffet and Grill is the T-Bar, an exciting stop-over for networking; the enjoyment of live sports broadcasts or hefty drinks complemented with piping-hot pizza from Metro's pizza oven.

Main St Cafe is an intimate coffee bar serving fresh brews and delectable snacks. It is located in one corner of the naturally-lit hotel lobby with easy access to outdoor tables and chairs for “al fresco” relaxation during pleasant-weather days.

Banquets and Conferences
The extensive banquet and efficient service offered by trained event specialists make Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao, Shanghai the ideal solution when planning any kind of event - be it a grand product launch, an all important corporate conference, a high-level board meeting; an elegant wedding reception or a more private and intimate celebration with a guest list of 20 or less.

Located on level two, the plush Diamond Ballroom accommodates from 600 to 800 persons and can be divided into two minor ballrooms with soundproof partitioning. Ten other rooms of varying sizes and seating up to 80 persons are located nearby and are easily accessible for conference groups that include break-out sessions in the programme.
