Newport News, VA - June 9, 2010 - Mumford Company was pleased to once again represent a major national loan servicing organization in the sale of the Country Inn & Suites of Anderson, South Carolina to Seneca Hotel Group, LLC. This is the 5th hotel that Mumford Company has sold on behalf of this company in recent years. This transaction represents the 11th hotel brokered by Mumford Company, thus far, for 2010.
The purchaser is a large regional owner/operator with extensive hospitality holdings in this market area. Their plans are to make continued cosmetic renovations to the hotel and retain the Country Inn & Suites franchise affiliation.
Located at the intersection of I-85 and Highway 76, this 55 room hotel services Clemson University, Anderson University and Anderson's largest employers, all of which are within a short distance of the property. The Country Inn & Suites was built in 2001 and underwent renovations in 2009.
