March 3, 2010 - Nearing the release of the new version of their booking engine RezTripTM 2.0, Travel Tripper, the New York City-based online reservation solution company, is expanding its sales and marketing efforts. Travel Tripper recently hired Debra Taube as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, citing her 15-plus years of sales and marketing experience within the travel and hospitality industries as a major asset to its effort to bring the industry's smartest online booking engine to market.

“We were looking for someone who would immediately recognize the value of the innovative solutions we offer our industry, especially with our new product release,” says Gautam Lulla, COO of Travel Tripper. “With her industry experience, Debra saw the huge competitive advantage Travel Tripper and RezTripTM 2.0 offer our customers. And she has experience taking a compelling solution to the wide variety of hotel companies out there that are desperately looking for something new. We've been focusing on building RezTripTM 2.0 as part of our smarter distribution solution. Now we want the industry to know there is a new platform that will help hotels generate more, and more valuable, reservations through their website. We're excited to have Debra on our team to help us fulfill our vision.”

Taube's last position was Regional VP of Sales and Account Management with Trust International (formerly owned by Travelport) where she specialized in technology sales, business development and marketing for Trust's CRS, IBE and distribution solutions. Prior to joining Cendant (now Travelport) in 2003, she was Vice President, Business Development and Marketing at TravelWerx in Atlanta, GA, where she was responsible for sales, marketing, partnership development and market strategy of newly developed CRM technology for the hospitality industry. In addition, she has held Sales/Management positions at Carlson Wagonlit Travel and American Express, specializing in managed travel agency solutions for corporate accounts.

“My years in the hospitality distribution world have made me very familiar with hoteliers' direct channel marketing needs” Taube says. “I'm thrilled to join the Travel Tripper team, where they've been thinking for a long time about what it means to build a truly dynamic booking engine and an online distribution strategy that makes the most of it. I'm also very excited to lead the sales team to sell and market this best-of-breed solution that really is a game changer for hoteliers' direct booking channel.”
