Tony Martinez New F&B Director Rockresorts Vail
January 25, 2010 - Martinez has been appointed Food and Beverage Director of the RockResorts Vail Collection, a group that includes The Arrabelle at Vail Square and The Lodge at Vail, both RockResorts. In his new position, Martinez will oversee all culinary operations at these properties, which consists of the new pub-style venue Tavern on the Square and European-inspired restaurant Centre V at The Arrabelle at Vail Square, and Cucina Rustica and the eclectic-American restaurant The Wildflower at The Lodge at Vail.
Prior to joining the RockResorts Vail Collection, Martinez was the executive director of product development for the restaurant chain Tazinos Inc. in Wisconsin, where he was in charge of store development, openings and training general managers. Before his tenure at Tazinos Inc., Martinez held several positions in the Vail Valley area, including executive chef and assistant food and beverage director at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Beaver Creek, Colorado. He also worked for Vail Resorts (the parent company of RockResorts) as on-mountain dining operations manager, and was the executive sous chef at Beaver Creek Country Club and executive sous-chef at Beanos's Cabin in Beaver Creek.
