Lon's at The Hermosa Names Jeremy Pacheco Executive Chef

PARADISE VALLEY, AZ, January 18, 2010- Award-winning chef extraordinaire Jeremy Pacheco has been named executive chef at Lon's at The Hermosa, a AAA Four Diamond restaurant featuring artful American cuisine.

Pacheco is returning to the Valley after serving as chef de cuisine at Society Cafe Encore in Las Vegas, honored as one of Esquire magazine's "Best New Restaurants in America."

While with Wynn Las Vegas during the past five years, Pacheco has also held the positions of chef de cuisine at Wynn's SW Steakhouse and tournant chef for all of the restaurants at the Encore and Wynn properties. Pacheco also served as chef de cuisine at the former Terrace Dining Room at The Phoenician, where he spent seven years through spring 2005. Pacheco began his career at the Sheraton El Conquistador in Tucson where he was lead cook for The Last Territory restaurant.

Pacheco won the "Vegas Uncorked Bon Appetit" award in 2008, an Iron Chef- themed competition involving master chefs of Las Vegas.

He is a graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute where he earned his associate's degree in culinary arts and sciences and restaurant management.
