January 15, 2010 - Torgerson Properties announced today the opening of two upscale, extended stay Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels in the Minneapolis metro area. The largest hotel operator in the state, Torgerson Properties has grown to a total of 28 hotels with the additional locations in St. Louis Park and New Brighton, Minn.

“Although we are opening in challenging economic times, we are confident in the long term strength of the markets of St. Louis Park and New Brighton. These hotels are well positioned with upscale, extended stay amenities and the strength of a Hilton brand,” said Mitch Peterson, president of Torgerson Properties.

The Homewood Suites Minneapolis/St. Paul- New Brighton, www.homewoodnb.com, located at County Road 96 and 35W, has 124 suites and is close to numerous corporations in the northern suburbs. The 125 suite Homewood Suites Minneapolis/St. Louis Park at West End, www.homewoodslp.com, is located in the vibrant and growing Shops at West End development at the intersection of 394 and 100.

Homewood Suites hotels offer guests spacious studio, one- and/or two-bedroom suites, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen, dinner table, easy chair, large living area and a separate bedroom and bathroom. Both hotels include a centrally located “Lodge” for guests to socialize, relax and enjoy the daily complimentary Suite Start hot breakfast and the complimentary Welcome Home reception featuring a light meal and beverages Monday-Thursday evening.

Guests in New Brighton and St. Louis Park will enjoy the spacious, expanded onsite exercise center, 24-hour on-site convenience store, a complimentary grocery shopping services, indoor swimming pool, meeting space, 24-hour business center and complimentary wired and wireless high speed internet.
