Stonebridge Companies Announces Management Team for New Hilton Garden Inn Denver/Cherry Creek

DENVER, CO (January 6, 2009) - The Englewood, Colorado-based hotel development and property management leader, Stonebridge Companies, has announced the selection of two hospitality industry standouts to head business and sales at the newly opened Hilton Garden Inn Denver/Cherry Creek. "We are so pleased to have brought these talented and experienced hospitality leaders on board for our new property in the Cherry Creek area of Denver," said Kevin Mahoney, Chief Operating Officer for Stonebridge Companies. "Their energy and expertise will provide the drive to bring our new Hilton Garden Inn to the attention of the business travelers to Denver, as well as groups and leisure guests."

Chris Cheney is the General Manager of this prime-location hotel, which was in the last several months gutted and completely revamped for its late-December debut. After a stellar career at the Dimond Center Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska, Chris joined Stonebridge Companies in July of 2007 as the General Manager of the Homewood Suites by Hilton. He relocated to Denver to help oversee the renovation and the opening of the new Hilton Garden Inn Denver/Cherry Creek, located at 600 South Colorado Boulevard, near the Cherry Creek Mall. Brian-Douglas Stanwood is the new Director of Sales for Hilton Garden Inn Denver/Cherry Creek. Stanwood spent many years as Event Coordinator and then Finance Manager for the performance group UP WITH PEOPLE. He has worked in the hospitality industry in the Denver area for the last eleven years, most recently as the Business Travel Manager for Hotel Monaco, a Kimpton Hotel. His avocation is community service, and he currently sits on an advisory board for Johnson and Wales University, one of the top ten ranked hospitality colleges. Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill will offer hummus, falafel, chicken, and steak shwarmas, also using only fresh ingredients.
