Florencia Tabeni Appointed GM for JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami

Both Hotels Are Scheduled to Open in mid- 2010

MIAMI, FL, December 03, 2009 - The JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, have appointed hotel industry veteran Florencia Tabeni General Manager for both properties. JW Marriott Marquis Miami is the first Marquis in the JW Marriott brand, signifying the highest levels of comfort, technology, personal service, meeting facilities, privacy and world class amenities. Hotel Beaux Arts Miami is a new luxury brand and what will soon be Miami's centerpiece for sophistication and contemporary design.

Tabeni has worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years and has received numerous awards and accolades.

As General Manager, Tabeni will oversee the development and operations of both the JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami, scheduled to open in mid-2010.

Prior to her new appointment, Tabeni served as General Manager for the JW Marriott Hotel Miami located on prestigious Brickell Avenue. Under her leadership, the hotel was crowned “Hotel of the Year” by Marriott International in 2008. Prior to joining the JW Marriott Hotel Miami, Tabeni was the Director of Room Operations for the JW Marriott Hotel Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Tabeni has a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from the acclaimed Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, Argentina. She also attended the prestigious Cornell University School of Hotel Administration General Manager Program in 2006. In 2007, she was awarded with Marriott International's Mustang Award, designed to recognize General Managers who have overcome tremendous adversity and shown courageous leadership.
