Coastal Hotel Group Selects Executive Staff for Cedarbrook Lodge

Coastal Hotel Group, a privately held Seattle-based hospitality management company, is pleased to announce the appointment of a four talented executives at Cedarbrook Lodge, a quintessentially Northwest hotel located on a serene oasis of 18 acres near Sea-Tac Airport. The executive appointments include Greg Bye to general manager; Sylvia Nierling as director of sales; Roy Breiman to culinary director and Mark Bodinet as executive chef.

A proficient hospitality industry leader, Bye has gained broad experience in food and beverage, hotel sales and various managerial positions at a number of esteemed Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties and most recently at the River Rock Casino in California. As General Manager, Bye is directly involved with virtually every aspect of the hotel, from service and facilities to daily operations.

In her newest position, Nierling is responsible for overseeing the sales, catering and conference services at Cedarbrook Lodge. Nierling's two and a half decades of practice in the hospitality industry have led her to a comprehensive understanding encompassing all levels of sales and catering disciplines. Nierling most recently served as director of sales and marketing at the Red Lion Hotel in Seattle.

Breiman's passion for the culinary trade has guided his travels throughout much of the world and has garnered him esteem while working in top U.S. restaurants including Restaurant Maurice at the Le Meridien in New York City, and the award-winning dining destination The Dining Room at Salish Lodge and Spa. As culinary director of Cedarbrook Lodge, Breiman's focus lies on enriching guests' dining experience through unique sustainable practices.

Prior to Cedarbrook, Chef Bodinet most recently fed his love for the culinary arts at the world-renowned French Laundry Restaurant in Napa Valley, Calif. Along with a wealth of knowledge, Bodinet brings along his fervor for fresh ingredients with his “farm to fork” concepts.
