Michael Mcgilligan Named GM Hilton Lincoln Centre in Dallas
November 13, 2009 - Hilton Worldwide announced today that Michael McGilligan will serve as the new General Manager of the 500-room Hilton Lincoln Centre in Dallas. McGilligan will report to Andy Slater, Hilton Worldwide Area Vice President.
The Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre is a four-diamond luxury full-service hotel located within the landmark Galleria Shopping Mall and is only 20 minutes from both Dallas Fort Worth and Love Field airports. The hotel is also in close proximity to many restaurants, entertainment and major business destinations.
McGilligan has enjoyed a celebrated career in the hotel industry which dates back to 1991 when he first joined Guest Quarters Suite Hotels in the Regional Accounting Office in Philadelphia. In the mid-nineties Guest Quarters merged with Doubletree and he then joined Doubletree Hotels Corporation in the National Sales Office as a Team Leader in New Business Development.
Following his tenure in the corporate office, Michael served in a number of sales and operations capacities at two prominent Washington DC hotels; Doubletree Hotel Park Terrace and the Embassy Suites Hotel. McGilligan then went on to serve as Hotel Manager at the Embassy Suites Hotel - World Financial Center in New York City from 2002 to 2006 and was instrumental in the property's financial recovery following 9/11. For the past three years, Michael has been General Manager of the Embassy Suites Hotel San Diego - La Jolla. In 2008 he received the Hervey Feldman Award as the Embassy Brand's General Manager of the Year.
