Preferred Promotes Nichole L. DiBenedetto to Director, Global PR

October 30, 2009 - Nichole L. DiBenedetto has been promoted to Director, global public relations for Preferred Hotel Group™. The announcement was made by Gail Ueberroth, President of the Preferred Hotel Group. This move expands Nichole's current responsibilities within the global hospitality leader.

In September 2008, Nichole joined Preferred Hotel Group as Director, public relations - Historic Hotels of America®, one of Preferred Hotel Group's five distinctive brands. With her promotion, she maintains oversight of HHA's public relations efforts while adding responsibility for the company's worldwide public relations efforts encompassing the additional four brands - Preferred Hotels® & Resorts, Preferred Boutique™, Summit Hotels & Resorts™ and Sterling Hotels™.

“We are delighted to be expanding Nichole's scope of responsibility to include our entire family of brands,” said Ueberroth in making the announcement. “Her understanding of Preferred Hotel Group's vision and strategy make her a distinct asset as we continue to develop the company and its member benefits,” she added.

Prior to joining Preferred Hotel Group, Nichole served as account director for Middleton & Gendron Brand Communications in New York City.

The Long Island, New York, native began her career at Rubenstein Associates, Inc., in New York City, continuing a fast track at Ruder Finn, Inc., and Laura Davidson Public Relations. Nichole's previous account work has included South African Airways, Barbados Tourism Authority, Australian Tourist Commission, SMART Car, Mohegan Sun, and Green Giant.

Nichole holds a B.A. in Sociology from Providence College, Providence, R.I. She currently resides in New York City and will continue to be based in Preferred Hotel Group's Manhattan office.
