. November 02, 2009

WASHINGTON, DC, October 29, 2009 - Robert T. Koger, President of Molinaro Koger (MK), announced today that Mark Morris has been promoted to Executive Vice President of the firm. Mr. Morris is a 15-year veteran of MK which is one of the world's leading hotel real estate advisory, brokerage and capital markets companies.

“I am pleased to recognize Mark's significant, long-term contributions to the company and our industry with this well-deserved promotion. As we ramp up to meet increasing demand for our services, Mark's relationships, expertise and management are crucial,” said Mr. Koger, in announcing the promotion. “During the past 15 years Mark has been central to Molinaro Koger's successful marketing of a wide array of hospitality assets. His depth of contacts, organizational insight and grasp of economic opportunity throughout every point in the cycle, all play vital roles in the growth of our firm; meeting our clients' goals in times both rich and challenging.”

The promotion of Mr. Morris coincides with the 50- year anniversary of Molinaro Koger. Since joining Molinaro Koger in 1994, Mr. Morris has earned the reputation as one of the nation's leading hotel real estate brokers. He has personally structured the sale of more than 400 hotels encompassing all regions of the country and has been involved in more than $3 billion of transactions including many of the firm's most prestigious assignments.

As Executive Vice President, Mr. Morris has expanded responsibilities as a senior member of the organization and will further evolve his role in shaping company direction. Essential to this role in the current environment is his early career expertise as an officer with a national bank in charge of the restructure of distressed loans, the disposition of assets and real estate management. Mr. Morris will continue to be responsible for marketing the firm's wide range of hotel real estate offerings and advising clients on the strategic disposition of assets ranging from single properties through portfolios.

“It's tremendously rewarding to have my contributions to the firm recognized with this promotion in title and scope of responsibilities,” remarked Mr. Morris. “Clearly, joining Rob and MK 15 years ago was a fortuitous career decision. No other hotel brokerage or advisory firm can point to such impressive growth over the past two decades. It is very satisfying to play a key role in the company's forward momentum, particularly so in this year, which many call the most challenging times ever experienced in hospitality and investment. “Because of my long-term experience I am aware that hotel investment will once again be the sought after real estate segment. The transactions that I am putting together now will likely become the best investments my clients ever make. To have that opportunity provides unparalleled satisfaction,” commented Mr. Morris.

Mark Morris's clients include an impressive roster of public companies, private investors, institutional owners and banks. His recent single-asset and portfolio lodging transactions involved Marriott, Hyatt, Starwood and Hilton-branded properties located throughout the United States. Notable transactions include the Fairview Park Marriott, Embassy Suites Center City Philadelphia, Hyatt Hotel Dulles Airport, several portfolio sales, Residence Inns and Courtyards. He was also involved in the sale of the Mayflower Inn & Spa, a five-diamond destination spa which recorded one of the highest prices per room nationwide in 2007.

Mark's career during the last 25 years has spanned a wide range of real estate investment and development. Mr. Morris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Syracuse University, and is credentialed as a Certified Hotel Broker (CHB) through the Hotel School of Cornell University. Among his career highlights, he earned salesman of the year from Hotel Brokers International for five consecutive years.
