Concorde Appoints Alessandro Cresta as GM Hotel du Louvre

OCTOBER 27, 2009 - Concorde Hotels & Resorts has recently appointed Alessandro Cresta as General Manager of one of its four-star Parisian properties, Hotel du Louvre, a landmark hotel located in the heart of the city's fashion district. Cresta will manage overall operations at the historic 177-room hotel.

A 24-year veteran of the hotel industry, Cresta most recently served as Assistant General Manager of Concorde Hotels & Resorts' Hotel Martinez in Cannes, where he assisted with the operations at this legendary French Riviera hotel. Prior to that, Cresta held the position of General Manager of the Boscolo Group's Hotel Carlo IV in Prague. In 2004, he served as Operations Manager for the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai. Prior to that, Cresta implemented a sales division in Switzerland for the Intercontinental Group, where he held various positions at the Crowne Plaza Geneva for 12 years. He developed a marketing repositioning strategy for a major expansion project at the Crowne Plaza, making it the largest hotel in Switzerland with 500 rooms and more than 39,000 square feet in conference room meeting space. Cresta also worked in catering at the Hilton Hotel in Geneva, the Hyatt Continental Hotel in Montreux, Switzerland, The Dorchester in London and the Marriott Frankfurt Hotel in Germany.
