Glenwood Hot Springs Announces New Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales Assistant

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO, October 2, 2009 - One of the most unique and popular visitor destinations in the state of Colorado, the Glenwood Hot Springs has added two new people to its management staff. Ann Denney joins the Glenwood Hot Springs as the Director of Sales and Marketing and Kerstin Brixey as Sales Assistant.

A former independent contractor for Aspen Ski Tours/Ski.Com, one of the ski industry's largest ski wholesalers, Ann brings her considerable experience in sales, marketing, management and customer service to her new position at the Glenwood Hot Springs. While at Aspen Ski Tours/Ski.Com, Ann was consistently a top sales performer. She also brings with her a strong background in the hospitality industry. She was the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Snowmass Lodge and Club in Aspen, Colorado.

Ann's new responsibilities will encompass the entire Glenwood Hot Springs property including the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge, the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, the Glenwood Hot Springs Athletic Club, the Sport Shop, the Grill and the new Spa of the Rockies. She will be responsible for developing overall strategic sales plans, targeting and initiating action plans to secure new and enhanced revenue opportunities through promotions, special events, internal staff sales training, advertising, public relations and sales calls. Ann will also act as a liaison with the Glenwood Hot Springs' outside marketing firm.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Glenwood Hot Springs team. It's a venerable property with so much history and now with the addition of the beautiful Spa of the Rockies, it's my job and my pleasure to represent it as the Sales and Marketing Director," said Ann.

Helping Ann in her duties is Sales Assistant Kerstin Brixey. Kerstin recently relocated from Portland, Oregon where she was the Executive Sales Assistant for The Paramount Hotel, A Coast Hotel. While attending the International Air and Hospitality Academy she worked for the Downtown Portland Embassy Suites and Cedar Ridge Conference and Retreat Center. She is very excited to be in Colorado and at the Glenwood Hot Springs, home of the new Spa of the Rockies.

"Ann's strong decision-making skills, her proven record of performance and her ability to work as part of a team made her a natural choice for the Sales and Marketing position. Kerstin also brings a wealth of experience to the position and we're happy to have them both on board," said Kjell Mitchell, COO and General Manager of the Glenwood Hot Springs.

Both Ann and Kerstin join one of the oldest, continuously operating businesses in the region. Since 1888 people have been soaking in the thermal waters and with the addition of the Spa of Rockies at Glenwood Hot Springs, almost one year old, visitors can further enhance their experience with holistic treatments that include massage, body treatments, facials and nail services.
