Dara Pinke to Lead Human ResourcesTeam for Four New Properties in Dubai

Dara Pinke joins M"ovenpick Hotels & Resorts as director of human resources for four new Dubai properties: Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel, Oceana Hotel & Spa, The Royal Amwaj Resort & Spa and M"ovenpick Hotel Deira, all set to open next year.

Canadian national Pinke will oversee recruitment, learning and development, housing, compensation and benefits and employee relations in, what will be her third opening.

She joins M"ovenpick Hotels & Resorts from Essque Hotels but she has also spent six years with Fairmont Raffles International, assisting with transitions and pre-openings.

Pinke's primary responsibility is to recruit talent to operate over 1100 rooms, 28 restaurants and two spas in the four different properties.

"One of the keys to our success is to have a multi-national team by sourcing talent from all over the world" said Pinke "Recruitment trips have included the Philippines, India, Thailand, Africa the Americas, Australia and China as well as the UAE where we have been fortunate to find a significant number of quality employees. I do believe that hiring locally where possible is best as employees who are currently in Dubai understand the GCC guest and are familiar with the level of intuitive service required for the new properties"

The new properties, all set to open during 2010 include the iconic Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel adjacent to the themed Ibn Battuta Mall and accessible through a magnificent 60-metre high Moroccan style gate; the Asian-themed Royal Amwaj Resort & Spa located on the outer crescent of the Palm Jumeirah; the chic and ultra-hip Oceana Hotel & Spa on the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah and the M"ovenpick Hotel Deira in the heart of Dubai's cultural centre
