5th Annual Dream Festival Comes to Guam

. June 02, 2009

TUMON, Guam, June 2, 2009 - The Dream Festival, an annual tour designed specifically for seniors and wheelchair-bound travelers, has selected Guam as the site for their annual trip. The group travels twice a year from Japan, once domestically and once overseas. Previously, the Dream Festival has taken place in Hawaii, but this year organizer Club Tourism, which is part of R& C Tours, has selected Guam USA.

The purpose of the Dream Festival is to make it possible for the elderly and handicapped people from Japan to be able to travel and make their dream come true. There were some fear of cancellations due to the H1N1 Flu, but as Guam remains free of confirmed or suspected cases and is considered a safe destination for travelers, the group decided to continue forth with their plans to come to the island.

There are 87 travelers participating in the 5th Annual Dream Festival, including travel supporters for the group. They are staying at the Outrigger Guam Resort and special farewell luncheon will be held for them on June 3rd.
