Hay Creek Announces Dean P. Andrews as a New Principal Partner

WESTPORT, CT. MAY 29, 2009 - Hay Creek Hospitality continues to expand, announcing today that former Orient Express Hotels Ltd, senior executive Dean P. Andrews has joined the company as a Principal Partner.

Dean will immediately begin his focus working with equity investment and debt funds to expand Hay Creek's joint-venture capital partnership reach for the acquisition of small luxury independent hotels and resorts. He will also have responsibilities in the identification and deal structure for acquisitions in the Mid Atlantic, Southeast and West Coast regions as well as partnership and banking relationship management. Mr. Andrews will also serve in a senior operational oversight capacity.

Dean Andrews has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Hay Creek, Dean was President of Orient-Express, Ltd. properties in the North American Division. He was part of the senior team that took the company public in 2000 and helped expand Orient-Express from eleven properties to over fifty. He established and operated hotels and resorts in the US, Caribbean, French Polynesia and Mexico. Previously he worked as a regional Vice President with Omni Hotels, and early in his career with London-based Lex Hotels. He has served on several industry and non-profit organizations' advisory boards and received an honorary doctorate from Johnson & Wales University for his role in defining and supporting their food and beverage apprenticeship programs. His undergraduate studies were at the University of Colorado and Columbia University.
