Shangri-La Targets Mainland China

SHANGHAI, China, May 10, 2006. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has revealed plans to open a new hotel in Guilin, China.

The 418-room Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin is slated to open in early 2009. Hotel guest rooms will boast views of the Li Jiang River. Amenities will include 24-hour room service; same-day laundry and valet service; guest rooms with satellite TV and data ports; and broadband or wireless Internet service throughout the property.

Dining and entertainment options will include a lobby lounge, a coffee shop, a specialty restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a pool bar and an entertainment center. The hotel also will have a 19,375-square-foot ballroom, plus a 3,015-square-foot auditorium.
