Benchmark Appoints Heath Carter Director of Sales & Marketing, Stonewall

HOUSTON, TX, May 8, 2006. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Heath Carter as director of sales and marketing for Stonewall Resort, the 2,000-acre destination resort located near Weston, West Virginia. Ken Jesina, Benchmark's general manager at the property, made the announcement.

"We are very excited to have a sales executive of Heath's caliber and energy joining Benchmark at Stonewall Resort," said Mr. Jesina. "We welcome him to West Virginia and look forward to his leadership in growing the resort's business to even greater levels of success."

Heath Carter brings over a decade of senior level sales and marketing leadership experience to his new role at Stonewall Resort. Previously, he was director of sales and marketing for Graylyn International Conference Center, an auxiliary of Wake Forest University, both located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. While at Graylyn, Carter led the sales and marketing transition of the property to an independent university managed conference center hotel.

For a three-year period, Mr. Carter worked for International Conference Resorts (ICR) as national accounts manager. ICR was subsequently purchased by Benchmark Hospitality International.

Carter has also held sales executive positions with the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, and, earlier in his career, with Adam's Mark Hotels.

Heath Carter is a graduate of North Carolina State University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Tourism Management. He and his family are relocating to West Virginia.
