LOUISVILLE, KY, March 29, 2006. Sage Hospitality Resources has opened the 21cMuseum Hotel here, adding to the city's revitalization of its downtown area. The hotel combines a 90-room, luxury boutique hotel with a showcase museum of contemporary art dedicated to collecting and exhibiting important living and emerging artists.

Located at 700 West Main in the arts and theater district, the $26 million 21cMuseum Hotel links five historic buildings that have been renovated by Deborah Berke and Partners Architects LLP of New York.

Louisville philanthropists Steve Wilson and Laura Lee Brown are the project's co-developers; Denver-based Sage Hospitality is managing property.

The hotel features six suites, a spa and fitness room; more than 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space; video conference room; 24-hour business center; and wireless and wired Internet access.

Guestrooms have 12-foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, 42-inch HDTV flat-screen televisions, WiFi, iPods with custom music, 450-thread count luxury bedding, Malin and Goetz bathroom amenities and original works of art.

A destination restaurant, Proof on Main, is also part of the hotel development. Proof offers regional American cuisine with a Tuscan twist and is operated by the Myriad Restaurant Group.

The 21cMuseum, located in the hotel atrium lobby, houses a permanent collection of more than 80 important artworks by living American and international artists. With more than 9,000 square feet of exhibition space and a video lounge, the museum intends to mount group shows and solo exhibitions.
