Park Hotel in Charlotte Becomes a Marriott

CHARLOTTE, NC, March 21, 2006. The Marriott flag now flies over the former Park Hotel in Charlotte, NC. Now known as the Charlotte Marriott SouthPark, the hotel contains 192 guestrooms and 11,300 sf of meeting space.

The hotel's brand conversion took place following South Park Real Estate, L.L.C.'s recent acquisition of the asset. The new owner is a subsidiary of JWM Family Enterprises, L.P. Bissell Cos. sold the hotel to South Park Real Estate. Marriott Hotels & Resorts is now the property's operator under a long-term management agreement.

As part of the conversion, the new Marriott bedding package will be installed at the hotel. Other in-room amenities will include a workspace with an ergonomic desk and chair, high-speed Internet access, a telephone with a data port and speakerphone, a coffeemaker, an iron, an ironing board and cable television with premium channels.

The hotel also offers a restaurant, a 24-hour business center, an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, an indoor whirlpool and sauna and a fitness center.
