. October 14, 2008

DENVER, CO, March 16, 2006. Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. LLC, will open its first hotel here in spring 2007, replacing the Embassy Suites Hotel, in the Denver Place Tower Plaza project.

The 19-story building will offer 202 rooms and suites, plus 23 units at the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton Denver.

The new hotel will be Ritz-Carlton's third property in Colorado on the heels of its resorts in Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek and Aspen Highlands.

Ritz-Carlton will not have an equity stake in the hotel. Rather, the project is owned by a partnership led by Charles Biederman, Steve Roitman, and Jim Cobb. Biederman also is an owner of the JW Marriott Denver in Cherry Creek.

The hotel is lcated on the first 14 floors of the building, with 13,000-square feet of meeting space including a new business center, lobby lounge and 6,500-square foot ballroom. The guest rooms will average more than 500 square feet, making them the largest in Denver.
