ADDS CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF TO IMPRESSIVE WATERPARK/RESORT AMENITIES

. October 14, 2008

WISCONSIN DELLS, WI, March 1, 2006. Wisconsin-based Kalahari Resorts has added a championship golf course to its already extraordinary list of amenities, offering more than one million vacationers and convention goers a first-class Wisconsin Dells getaway. In an effort to continually enrich the experience of its guests, Kalahari has purchased Trappers Turn Golf Club, one of Wisconsin's top-ranked golf courses.

Designed by two-time U.S. Open champion Andy North and world-renowned golf course architect Roger Packard, Trappers Turn has earned a 4 1/2 -star rating from Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play," the only course in the Wisconsin Dells area to achieve such a rating. The 27-hole facility has hosted such prestigious events as the Wisconsin State Open and several Wisconsin PGA Championships. Opened in 1991, Trappers Turn was formerly owned by Robert and Patty Francis of Green Lake, WI.

Kalahari, open since May 2000, is known for leading the nation's indoor and outdoor waterpark industry with innovations including Wisconsin Dells' only stand up and surf FlowRider. The 540-acre Trappers Turn will be enhanced with the same quality and attention to detail that has made the African-themed Kalahari one of the most exciting and sought-after destinations in the Midwest. Just a five-mile, seven-minute shuttle ride from Kalahari, Trappers Turn will add to the already impressive convention package offered by the state's largest hotel/convention center.

"Our goal at Kalahari is to give guests a complete family getaway experience. While our amazing waterparks and everything under-one-roof amenities continue to impress our guests, adding championship golf will greatly enhance Kalahari's offerings," says Todd Nelson, president and CEO of Kalahari Resorts (locations in Wisconsin Dells, WI and Sandusky, OH). "Trappers Turn combines the challenge of a championship design with a playability that golfers of all levels can readily enjoy," continues Nelson.

Kalahari, home to the largest indoor waterpark in the U.S., offers the state's largest hotel with 740 guest rooms and suites as well as a 100,000 sq. ft. convention center which hosts over 1,000 conventions, trade shows and meetings annually. "A significant number of professional meeting planners book with Kalahari because they have documented increased attendance with this quality family-friendly African-themed resort. The addition of Trappers Turn further enhances the convention goers' value," says Nelson.
