Kalahari Acquires Trappers Golf Club

WISCONSIN DELLS, WI, March 1, 2006. Wisconsin-based Kalahari Resorts has added a championship golf course to its already extraordinary list of amenities, offering more than one million vacationers and convention goers a first-class Wisconsin Dells getaway. In an effort to continually enrich the experience of its guests, Kalahari has purchased Trappers Turn Golf Club, one of Wisconsin's top-ranked golf courses.
Designed by two-time U.S. Open champion Andy North and world-renowned golf course architect Roger Packard, Trappers Turn has earned a 4 1/2 -star rating from Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play," the only course in the Wisconsin Dells area to achieve such a rating. The 27-hole facility has hosted such prestigious events as the Wisconsin State Open and several Wisconsin PGA Championships. Opened in 1991, Trappers Turn was formerly owned by Robert and Patty Francis of Green Lake, WI.
Kalahari, open since May 2000, is known for leading the nation's indoor and outdoor waterpark industry with innovations including Wisconsin Dells' only stand up and surf FlowRider.
