BRUSSELS, February 22, 2006. Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, the first-class, full-service international brand of Rezidor SAS Hospitality, announces the opening of the new Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City. The hotel is located in the heart of the United Arab Emirates' emerging global media hub.

The first tower of the Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City features 121 guestrooms equipped with complimentary wireless Internet access (WiFi), interactive plasma screen TVs and DVD players. The property will have two towers linked by a first floor bridge. The second tower is set to open in mid-2006 and will feature an additional 125 rooms including five suites, ten meeting rooms, an executive lounge and a business center.

"Being located in the center of the media and communications hub of Dubai, it's important that our guests have easy access to the Internet. Therefore, we offer free Internet access in all the rooms and public areas of the hotel," said Siegfried Nierhaus, general manager of the Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City.

The hotel features one restaurant and three bars, providing guests with a range of culinary experiences. Certo serves a selection of antipasti, homemade pasta and pizza from a traditional wood- burning oven, while the Icon Bar provides a daily tapas menu. The Media Lounge serves coffee, pastries and juices during the day and cocktails at night. Tamanya Terrace is a rooftop bar which overlooks The Palm, Jumeirah.

Leisure facilities include Senso - a wellness center with five Euro-Asian themed massage rooms, a steam bath and outdoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art gym. The second tower will feature additional restaurants and a second swimming pool on the terrace.

The design concept was created by Singapore-based IMA interiors, which specializes in boutique hotels and high-end residential developments. The hotel is part of the 'new breed' of Radisson SAS hotels, which currently includes hotels in Europe such as Frankfurt and Dusseldorf in Germany and Rome in Italy.

Jean-Marc Busato, vice president Middle East for Rezidor SAS Hospitality, said, "Dubai is an emerging international hub with many developments in the pipeline to attract even more tourists and international businesses. We are confident this hotel will be a success and we continue to explore more opportunities to cater to demand. This new generation of hotels are created with a contemporary design and tomorrow's technology in mind. The Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City will set the benchmark for similar future projects in the region."
