NEW YORK, NY, June 20, 2005. The Rihga Royal began operating as an independent hotel on Saturday, June 18, 2005, having concluded its affiliation with the J.W. Marriott Hotel Company on June 17. The move to independent operation is the hotel's first step toward redefining New York's new, luxury all-suite market and establishing the hotel's position as a cornerstone of excellence in that market.
